Saline
electrolysis
The total automation of your swimming
pool without chemical products.
Saline
electrolysis is one of the most used techniques in water treatment due
to its large number of advantages:
- It is economic and ecological.
- Chemical products are not needed (chlorine, algaecides,…)
- It makes the water safe and clean.
- Without harmful effects for your health (eye irritation,
allergy, drying of the skin, bleaching of swimming suites and hair,
etc.)
- With the risk of handling chemical products or maintenance
concerns.
Saline electrolysis systems bring a new
concept to the treatment of your swimming pool, improving the water
quality, avoiding the handling of chemical products and simplifying
maintenance.
From ancient times the antiseptic properties of salty water are well
known, especially for the treatment of eye, skin and nose complaints. No
skin or eye irritations will be produced since the chloramines that
produce these effects are destroyed. Disinfection is more efficient due
to the combined action of the chlorine and the other agents that are
generated during the saline electrolysis as well as the active oxygen.
The saline electrolysis systems generate chlorine from the common salt
dissolved in the water. The salt needed for the operation must be added
only once to the pool in a concentration of 4-6 g/l.

Through the saline electrolysis process, the
risks of transporting, handling and measuring large amounts of highly
toxic compounds are avoided, since this system does not need to store,
handle or measure any chlorinated chemical compounds. Moreover, the
corrosive environment typical of water treatment rooms disappears, hence
the maintenance personnel can work in optimum conditions. In addition,
the system is highly safe since it operates at a voltage similar to that
of an ordinary 9V battery.
The use of saline electrolysis or sodium hypochlorite systems produce
considerable savings of water daily, even reaching 5% of the total
volume of the swimming pool, since it does not generate residual
cyanuric acid.
Water treatment by electrolysis is a closed cycle in which there is no
consumption of salt. The chlorine generated destroys the organic matter
and pathogens present in the water, transforming it again in salt.
Needs can vary from one swimming pool to another, due mainly to the
differences in the number of bathers, environmental factors and the
general maintenance level of the installation. For this reason, we put
at your disposal a wide range of models in order to adapt to the actual
needs of your swimming pool.
